Luggage Pickup, Storage and Delivery in Seoul — Leave Your Bags, Travel Light

2026-08-17

Hongdae · Seoul · Pickup & Delivery

This morning a guest messaged us. A family, more than ten days in Seoul, and the accommodation they had booked for the first stretch turned out to be a long way from any subway station. Their next plan was a few days outside Seoul. But they had several bags. Dragging a suitcase each onto a train was not realistic, and leaving them at the accommodation was not an option either — they had to check out. On top of that, they had already booked a completely different neighbourhood for the second half of the trip.

Here’s what happened. We collected every bag from their accommodation, kept them at our Hongdae counter for the days they were away, and delivered them to the new place on the day they came back. In between, the family travelled with one backpack each.

Short answer KPLANZ collects your luggage from your accommodation anywhere in Seoul or the greater metropolitan area, stores it for as many days as you need at our counter by Hongik University Station Exit 3, and delivers it to your next hotel or to Incheon Airport on the date you choose. There is no limit on the number or size of items, so a family’s suitcases and a stroller are handled in one booking. Multi-day storage starts at KRW 15,000 per day for bags 20 inches or under and KRW 20,000 for 21 inches or over, dropping to KRW 7,000 and KRW 10,000 per day from the third day. Pickup and delivery pricing depends on the address, so advance inquiry is required.

📦 Pickup — we come to your accommodation in Seoul 🗄️ Storage — multi-day, no limit on count or size 🚚 Delivery — to your next stay or Incheon Airport

Most people know KPLANZ as “the luggage storage at Hongdae Station Exit 3.” That’s fair. But a good share of what we actually do is pickup, storage, and delivery bundled into one job — and the requests cluster around families with a lot of bags.

Start by counting your bags and your dates. Four people with four suitcases and a stroller is not a load one person moves across a subway system. And this kind of trip is almost never a few hours of storage — it’s several days. Rather than working out a plan alone, send us your bag count and storage dates and we’ll confirm what’s possible and what it costs.

01The problem isn’t the luggage. It’s the route.

The moments when bags become a problem in Seoul are fairly predictable.

  • When you have as many bags as people. Family trips are the classic case. Four travellers means four suitcases, plus a stroller and the children’s things. The moment it exceeds what one adult can move, the transfer itself becomes an item on your itinerary.
  • When your accommodation is out of the way. You booked somewhere quiet or affordable, and it turns out to be a fifteen-minute uphill walk from the station. A round trip with suitcases eats half a day.
  • When you’re leaving Seoul for a few days. Using Seoul as a base and taking a side trip to another city — hauling everything onto a KTX makes no sense.
  • When you change accommodation. First half in one neighbourhood, second half in another, with hours or days of gap between checkout and check-in.
  • When you’ve been shopping. You arrived with one suitcase and you’re leaving with three.

The common thread: the problem is not how many bags you have, it’s the route you have to move them along. The moment you start following your luggage instead of your luggage following you, the itinerary falls apart.

💡

Which is why what we really sell isn’t storage space. It’s the hours where you and your bags don’t have to be in the same place.

02Why the usual options don’t cover this

Coin lockers are honestly a good option. One bag, half a day — you don’t need us. But the limits are real.

  • Many lockers won’t take a suitcase over 24 inches
  • Multi-day storage is usually not allowed, and bags get removed after 24–48 hours
  • On weekends and in peak season, finding an empty one can take twenty minutes of walking
  • Above all, a locker means going back to that station to collect your bag

Leaving bags at your accommodation’s front desk has the same shape of problem. Most places will hold luggage for a few hours on checkout day, but multi-day requests are often declined, and guesthouses and Airbnbs frequently can’t store anything at all. And again — you have to return to that building.

The only way to solve a route problem is to make the luggage follow you. That’s what pickup and delivery are for.

03How KPLANZ pickup, storage and delivery actually works

1. Contact us in advance. Message us on Instagram (@kplanz.official) or email kplanz.official@gmail.com with the details below. We have to schedule a vehicle, so at least one day’s notice is recommended.

  • Pickup date and preferred time window
  • Pickup address (Seoul or greater metropolitan area)
  • Number and rough size of bags (e.g. two 28-inch, one 20-inch, one stroller)
  • Storage period (e.g. pick up 20 August → deliver 24 August)
  • Delivery address and preferred time window

2. Confirm the quote and book. Pickup and delivery pricing varies with distance, bag count and size, and time of day. We’ll come back with an exact figure.

3. We collect from your accommodation. We arrive in the agreed window, check the bags in with you, and record the count and condition.

4. Your bags stay at our Hongdae counter. Storage is indoors at the KPLANZ store connected underground to Hongik University Station Exit 3, monitored by CCTV, with no size restrictions.

5. We deliver wherever you need on your chosen date. Usually that’s your next accommodation — if it’s a hotel, please check the front desk can accept bags for you. Delivery to Incheon Airport is also available, so you don’t spend your last day pulling suitcases around the city. And of course you can simply collect from the store — Exit 3, reachable by slope rather than stairs.

⚠️

Pickup and delivery must be arranged in advance. Unlike counter storage, they need a vehicle and staff scheduled together. Same-day requests are often not possible, so contact us at least one day ahead — two or three days in peak season or with a large load.

Where we can deliver your bags

You have three options.

  • To your next accommodation. Any hotel, guesthouse, or Airbnb in Seoul or the greater metropolitan area. Moving only the luggage on changeover day removes the gap between checkout and check-in entirely.
  • To Incheon Airport. Receive your bags at the airport on departure day instead of dragging them through Myeongdong or Hongdae for a final afternoon. Tell us your flight time and where you’d like to collect them.
  • At our store. The cheapest option. Connected underground to Hongik University Station Exit 3, with slope access rather than stairs.

Whichever you choose, advance inquiry is required so we can confirm the vehicle schedule.

Who this works best for

  • Families with a lot of luggage. Changing subway lines with three or four suitcases and a stroller is hard on adults and children alike. This helps most when it’s obvious whose hands need to be free.
  • Anyone doing Seoul → another city → Seoul. Leave the large bags here, travel with a backpack, pick them up on the way back.
  • Long-stay travellers changing accommodation two or three times. No suitcase-hauling between neighbourhoods.
  • Guests staying far from a station. Hills, alleyways, buildings without lifts — the worst possible combination with a suitcase.
  • Shoppers whose luggage has multiplied. Store the overflow separately and collect it just before your flight.
  • Travellers moving with elderly parents. Fewer bags changes how fast a group can move.
  • Groups and tours. Ten items is routine, and with advance booking we handle 40 or more. → Group luggage storage

📌 Three bags or more and it’s worth asking for a quote ⚡ Send us the count, sizes, and dates and we’ll reply

04This is multi-day storage, not a few hours

When people hear “luggage storage,” they usually picture a few hours on the same day — after checkout and before a flight, or during a concert. A large share of our counter traffic is exactly that.

The situation this article is about is a different animal. It’s days.

  • A three-to-five-day trip out of Seoul, with the large bags staying behind
  • A gap of several days between checking out of one place and into the next
  • Leaving bags in Seoul ahead of a return visit

🗓️

Once storage stretches across days, both the pricing and the preparation change.

  • You are not charged by the hour. Multiplying a four-hour rate across days produces an absurd number. Multi-day storage has its own daily rate card, and the per-day price drops the longer you stay.
  • Coin lockers are out of the question. Most are cleared after 24–48 hours and were never designed for multi-day storage.
  • Check what’s inside your bags first. You won’t see them for several days. Take out medication, chargers, and anything you’ll want on the road.
  • Booking matters more. Holding space for several days is different from holding it for an afternoon, so contact us early in peak season.

Put together, a family + several bags + several days is a combination that neither coin lockers nor a hotel front desk solves. This is the case where asking for a quote is the fastest route to an answer.

What it costs

Your total is storage + pickup and delivery.

Long-term storage rates

Per item, by size. The longer you store, the lower the daily rate.

Storage period20 inches or less21 inches or more
1 day (24h)KRW 15,000KRW 20,000
2 daysKRW 30,000 (1-day rate × 2)KRW 40,000 (1-day rate × 2)
3–14 daysKRW 7,000 / dayKRW 10,000 / day
15–30 daysKRW 6,000 / dayKRW 8,000 / day
31 days or moreContact usContact us

The rate drops sharply from day three. Days one and two are charged at the one-day rate, but from the third day it falls to KRW 7,000–10,000 per day. In other words, the structure favours exactly the trip this article describes.

Worked example Three suitcases of 21 inches or more, stored four days → KRW 10,000 × 3 bags × 4 days = KRW 120,000. The same period with three bags of 20 inches or less → KRW 7,000 × 3 × 4 = KRW 84,000.

For storage of 31 days or more, contact us and we’ll quote for your situation.

Pickup and delivery

Delivery pricing depends on the address. Distance, bag count and size, and time of day all move the figure, so there is no fixed rate card. Send us your pickup address, delivery address, and bag details in advance and we’ll confirm the exact cost.

For reference — same-day hourly rates

If you’re only leaving bags for a few hours, the hourly rates below apply.

Storage (per item, weekday, 4-hour basis)

SizeBasic (4 hours)Extra hour
S — under 20 inchKRW 2,500KRW 1,000
M — 20 to 23 inchKRW 3,500KRW 1,000
L — 23 to 27 inchKRW 5,000KRW 1,000
XL — over 27 inchKRW 8,000KRW 1,000

Weekend and holiday base rates differ.

Being straight with you: if it’s one bag for a few hours, a station coin locker is cheaper. If it’s a family’s three or four bags for several days, the long-term rates above are far better value.

The honest caveats

  • Pickup and delivery require advance inquiry. Unlike counter storage, they need a vehicle and staff scheduled together. Same-day requests are often not possible, so give us at least a day — two or three in peak season or with a big load. Incheon Airport delivery needs the same advance coordination.
  • Keep passports, cash, and valuables with you. The store is CCTV-monitored, but you’ll feel better holding the important things yourself.
  • No perishable food or leaking liquids. They can affect other guests’ bags.
  • Someone has to receive the delivery. Check that a hotel front desk can accept bags on your behalf, or that you or your Airbnb host will be there in the delivery window.
  • Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00–17:00. Weekends, holidays, and after-hours are available by advance booking.
