Most travel plans obsess over the middle of the trip and ignore its edges — the jet-lagged first morning and the dead zone between hotel checkout and an evening flight. But those edges are exactly where a trip is won or lost. This is the playbook we see working over and over from our counter at Exit 3.
Land, ride one train, gear up
Day 1
From Incheon Airport, the AREX express stops at Hongik Univ. Station with no transfers — and the KPLANZ counter is directly connected to Exit 3, before you even reach street level. Reserve ahead by Instagram DM, and everything is cleaned, charged, and waiting: one stop between the plane and your trip.
The one decision worth making before you land: which Dyson to pick up. Korea runs on 220V, so the one from home almost certainly won’t work here — and the three we stock do different jobs:

Days 2–3
Seoul rewards walking — which is exactly what makes it hard on anyone using wheels or tiring quickly. The good news: with the right routes, almost every headline sight works. The trick is knowing which paths are smooth and where the elevators are.
Gyeongbokgung — central route
The main courtyards and throne-hall axis are flat and paved; skip the gravel garden paths at the back. Wearing hanbok? Admission is free for the whole group — wheels included.
Han River parks & Gyeongui Line Forest
Completely flat, benches everywhere, convenience-store picnics. The Gyeongui Line Forest Park starts near Hongdae — a gentle evening walk straight from your base.
Insadong & modern malls
Wide, even sidewalks in Insadong; COEX and other malls add elevators, smooth floors, and air-conditioned rest stops between sights.
Bukchon Hanok Village
The famous hills are tough on wheelchairs and rollators. Take the lower scenic route from Anguk Station instead — hanok views without the climb.

The last-day gap, solved
Last day
Here’s the day nobody plans for: checkout is at 11 AM, your flight leaves at 8 PM, and suddenly the whole family is sightseeing with suitcases. The fix is the same counter you’ve been using all week — drop your bags and return your rentals in one stop, then enjoy Seoul hands-free until train time.

Pick up your suitcases at Exit 3 and catch the AREX straight back to Incheon — about an hour, no transfers. For an 8 PM flight, leaving Hongdae around 4:30–5:00 PM keeps things comfortable.

Can I return rentals and store luggage in the same visit?
Yes — that’s the point of the last-day plan. Return the Dyson, wheelchair, or stroller and drop your suitcases at the same Exit 3 counter in one stop. Deposits are refunded on the spot when items come back in normal condition.
Which Dyson should I rent for my trip?

Is Seoul realistic with a wheelchair or rollator?
Yes, with route planning. Gyeongbokgung’s central courtyards, Insadong, Han River parks, and major malls all roll easily. Take the lower route at Bukchon instead of the hills, and check Naver Map or KakaoMap for station elevators before surfacing.
How does last-day luggage storage work if my flight is at night?
Drop your bags at the staffed counter at Exit 3 after checkout, spend the day hands-free, and collect them on your way to the AREX. The airport express runs from the same station to Incheon in about an hour with no transfers — for an evening flight, leaving Hongdae around 4:30–5:00 PM is comfortable.
Do I need to reserve rentals before arrival?
Strongly recommended — at least 48 hours ahead, more in peak seasons. One Instagram DM covers the whole trip: rental items for pickup on day 1 and a heads-up that you’ll store luggage on your last day.
