The landing-day gap nobody plans for
Most Incheon arrivals land in the morning. Most Seoul hotels check in at 15:00. That’s a four-to-six hour window with your entire trip’s luggage attached to you.
The AREX airport line runs from Incheon directly to Hongdae Station (Hongik University Station). KPLANZ is a staffed counter at Exit 3 of that same station — you come up from the platform and you’re there. No street crossing, no locker wall, no app.

The packing list is shorter than you think

The five things travelers most often regret bringing:
- Hair dryers and stylers. Korea runs 220V/60Hz. If you’re from a 110V/50Hz country, a plug adapter does not convert voltage — a non-dual-voltage device can be destroyed on first use, and it needs a transformer, not a plug shape. What do I need to enter Korea as a tourist in 2026?
It depends on your nationality — some passport holders need K-ETA, some are covered by a temporary waiver, and most arrivals can complete the e-Arrival Card online instead of paper forms. Check the entry guide close to your departure date, because the waiver list changes.
Which transit card should I buy?
